Megan wanted to go for a walk a couple of weeks ago and, as it wasn’t raining this time, I took my camera and Sigma 120-400mm lens to have a play with.
When we arrived it was bright and freezing cold. However, that didn’t stop the kite and windsurfers from enjoying themselves on Exmouth Beach. Despite the low angle of the sun and the fact I’d be shooting almost straight into it it was still a great opportunity to have a go with the massive Sigma lens for a bit of opportunistic sports photography!
I don’t think they came out that well, in all honesty. A mixture of lack of experience shooting this type of subject and the challenging conditions (sun and freezing fingers!) conspired to make it a challenge. However, there are still a few nice shots and I’m keen to go back again another day… when it’s warmer and the sun is further round!
